Share your memories!

Did an article in "Memory Lane Volume One or Two" spark a story of nostalgia that you would like to share with the world?

Did you eat at Top of the Tower, enjoy a treat from the Clover Room or frequent Azalea Mall? Remember when we had pizza at the Celebrity Room and went to a drive-in at the Rose Bowl?

We'd love to hear about it in the comments of this blog entry.

Dear Mr. Ross:

I absolutely loved reading your book, "Memory Lane." But what really took me back was seeing Wright's Townhouse. My husband and I ate Chicken-in-the-Rough as a friday-night treat.

Thank you again.

I have bought several copies of the book for family and friends!

The only error I saw was in the C&O Railway chapter; Chessie was a female cat.

I eagerly look forward to Vol. 2!!!

I would like to know if either of your books show the old Kelly's Hardward Store? My father-in-law worked there as a young man and would like to see if it appears. I already sent an order for volume 2 and will order volume 1 if Kelly's is in there b/c I know that would be a walk down memory lane.

Loved the Memory Lane books. Suggestions for future issues:

Standard Drug Stores - Who could forget the Cary Street Store with the great bargins, snack bar and the basement pet dept. with the monkey.

Tilly's Dance Hall - Across from what is now Innsbrook.

Kelly's Drive-In - Remember the Jet Fast Service and 15 cent hamburgers. Owner, Moe House, was way ahead of his time.

ElJOS at Willow Lawn - All the preppy clothing; Weejuns, Gant Shirts, Hi Karate Cologne

Mr Ross, I wanted to make a suggestion about a future entry in "Memory Lane" and that is the Reynold's Wrap factory.

Thanks for your consideration.

I was just introduced to Memory Lane, so I'm not sure what was included in Volumes 1 and 2. Where can I find them?

If they weren't included, I would certainly like to see:
Tantilla Ballroom
Cotillion
Ponyland Ranch on W.Broad Street
The Santa Train
